About the project
A daily digest of Bay Area tech and AI events sourced from Luma. Instead of showing the full calendar, it filters down to only events added since yesterday's check, so classmates can scan what's new in under a minute. Kun built it for Berkeley founders, students, and engineers who want signal without subscribing to twenty newsletters. The whole pipeline runs automatically via GitHub Actions every morning.
Under the hood
Astro 5 for the static site, Svelte 5 for the interactive filters and event list, Python for the Luma API scraper, GitHub Actions for the daily cron pipeline, and Cloudflare Pages for hosting. It's bilingual EN/ZH via a custom lightweight i18n layer.
